Xplosion 7 and Rich 2

Defense was key for the Xplosions 6th victory. Missing a key defender, Justin was called upon to shore up the fullback position for much of the game. Rich's team had their shots, but the Xplosion defense kept most wide of the net. Mike played very well for the blue team and Joe played well at halfback for the Xplosion. Good game teams!

    Lot's of offense again by both teams. The Xplosion again scored with multiple players. After giving up a few goals in the mud, X stood on his head in the second half. He stopped a direct kick from the 18 and many 1 on 1 shots from Sean. Way to be! Justin, Frankie and Bryanna H. played strong at half back, setting up the forwards all game. Bryanna, Jake and Frankie all scored and Brianna E and Joe had their chances. Kenny, Jake and Brian held strong on defense. These 2 teams play each other very well and the next meeting should be exciting. Great game teams!

A very good defensive battle between both teams. Coach Shane's team keeps getting better each game, and all players from "Light Blue" played a great game. The Vultures were able to get the win with goals from Isaiah "MVP" Cruz-Ortiz (scoring his 18th goal of the year!), Zach Angelo (also with an assist) and Jared Polanski. Lexi Russick, Gia Cerminaro, and Matt Foster played great on defense. Frank Fisher was solid at halfback, and Shutout goaltending was provided by John Troiano, Dom Virelli, and Nicole Herner!

Xplosion 7 and Pirates 6

Comeback kids! After being down 4-0 after 1 and 6-1 at the half, the Xplosion ripped off 6 unanswered goals to win the game 7-6.These kids never quit. Scoring for the Xplosion was Frankie 2,Jake 3 and Justin 2. Marissa played out of her mind for the Pirates, scoring twice. Way to play Marissa! X stood on his head, again, stopping everything the Pirates shot at him in the 2nd half. Dave did a great job in net for the Pirates. Great game teams!

 Another exciting meeting of these 2 teams with the Devils prevailing in a tight game. Great D was played by Sean B, Chris P, and Jeff M, moving up the field for the Devils were Christian, Devon, Tori and Connor. Playing great in goal was Sean M, Greg and Gianna. Scoring was Greg and Chris  Happy B-Day Paolo we missed you.
 

Vultures 3 and Marie 1

The Vultures SOLID team play enabled them to get the win over Coach Marie's team. The scoring was provided by Isaiah Cruz-Ortiz (2 goals!) and Zach Angelo!  Frank Fisher was the co-MVP of the game because of his great defensive play at Halfback! Gia Cerminaro, Jared Polanski, Matt Foster and Nicole Herner were a force in the Defensive zone today. Great Goaltending was provided by Dom Virelli and John Troiano. Thom Mulholland and Lexi Russick also played a great "two-way" game!

Xplosion 6 and Rich 3

Tonight was a make up game from Sept.30.
This was a true soccer game,with a lot of passes by both teams. Chris set his team up many times, being a team leader. Frankie set his team up many times as well. The Xplosion just had too much offense tonight, scoring 6 goals with 5 different players. X and Kyle stood tall as keepers for their respected teams. Scoring for the Xplosion was Jake 2, Joe 1, Frankie 1,Brianna E.1 and Bryanna H 1. This team has now had 8 of 9 players score, and the 1 who didn't wasn't here tonight. Good game teams!
 

Vultures 5 and Linda 1

Coach Linda's team played a great game and had a goal from John Flood, but the difference was the well balanced scoring attack of the Vultures.  Scoring goals for the "V's" were Isaiah Cruz-Ortiz (2), Zach Angelo, Frank Fisher,  and Lexi Russick.  Matt Foster and Jared Polanski each had a couple of assists. As usual, Nicole Herner and Gia Cerminaro were rock solid on Defense. Thom Mulholland also played a great defensive game at Forward, and excellent goaltending was provided by Dom Virelli and John Troiano!

Rich 8 and Xplosion 5

 The Xplosion came out firing on all cylinders to take a 5-4 half time lead.They added 3 more and stingy defense only allowed 1 2nd half goal.Chris G had a tremendous game scoring 3 goals while Alex scored one goal himself.Scoring for the Xplosion was Frank 4,Jake 2,Justin 1 and Xavier"X" 1."X" proved he can not only stop shots but make them too!

Coach Sean's well coached squad played very well from start to finish, but the Vultures fire power and great defense was the difference. The scoring was led by Nicole Herner (2) and Isaiah Cruz-Ortiz (2). Lexi Russick also added her first goal of the season. Great goaltending was provided by Dom Virelli, John Troiano, and Jared Polanski. Steady play from halfbacks Frank Fisher and Gia Cerminaro were instumental in moving the ball up to forwards Zach Angelo, Thom Mulholland, and Matt Foster.

A great game! The game went back and forth several times. Sean had a great game for Chaz's team and Dave E and Dane E played great for the Pirates. Both teams played great defense! A very good game to watch from the sidelines! Good job!

A great game and well played by both teams. David was the player of the game scoring the hat trick with three goals. Pirates played great defense all game as well. Frank D. for Joe's team played extremely well and scored 3 goals as well.

This was a well played game by both teams. Samantha F. scored the goal to tie the game at 3-3 with little time left. Great job!!

Devils jumped out to an early lead but had to fight hard to hold on as Shane's team battled back the entire game and never gave up.

Pirates 8 and Rich 4

A very well played game by the Pirates. Their defense was outstanding! The offense for the Pirates came to play on this night. Dana E scored 4 goals to lead the Pirates offense. Chris G for the other team played his heart out and scored 3 goals but it was not enough to hold back the Pirates. A total team effort was put forth by both teams!

 The Vultures start the season with a 6-3 win!

Coach Linda's team played a great game and started the scoring, but the Vultures kept answering back with goals from Isaiah Cruz Ortiz. After being tied 3-3, Isaiah opened up the scoring by adding 3 more! John Troiano was outstanding in goal, along with the solid play of Halfbacks Gia Cerminaro and Frank Fisher. Fullbacks Nicole Herner and Jared Polanski were able to turn away a lot of plays on Defense. Forwards Matt Foster, Zach Angelo, Lexi Russick, Dom Virelli, and Thom Mulholland each played a great game, and all were able to consistantly keep the ball moving up field!
