April 4th

Royals 5 and Pirates 6

The Pirates jump start there season with a 6-5 win .Lead by Frank Fisher 5 inning 9 strickoout performace the Pirates jump out early 2-0. The Royals tied the game in the top of the fith at 5-5. In the bottom of the 5th inning John "Tank" Troiano drove home Dominic Virelli with a rope into left field to go up 6-5. In the Top of the sixth the "Closer" Tank Triano set down the Royals 1-2-3. Dean Blizzard made a great play at shortstop to help his pitcher out. Great Game by both teams. The Pirates played great team ball and showed alot of toughness out on the field and in the batters box. All Players should be proud you all played well.

Orioles 11 and Phillies 12

Opening day went well exept for that strong wind we had. The Phillies and the Orioles battled it out on saturday afternoon with the phills on top. Both teams hit the ball well right from the begining and played great defense. The 2nd and 4th was phillies all the way but innings 3 and 5 had us nervous as the orioles began to rally back.   Good luck to both teams and have a great season!

Pirates 8 and Phillies 2

Lead by a 11 strikeout and 4 inning performace by Alec Thomas the Pirates got there second win of the season. Bruce Wildermuth got the game started in the first with a single. The Pirates got 2 runs in the first with patience at the plate.the Pirates scored again in the second when Anthony Dimarco drove home Dean Blizzard.Pirates Got one more in the third when Matthew Rescoal stole home. In the Forth Frank Fisher Walked the stole three bases for the run.And in the Final inning the Pirates bats came alive to score three runs lead by the game Winning Single by Alec Thomas who drove in Dominic Virelli.Great game by boths teams.

April 8th

Royals 6 and Orioles 5

The Royals (Lipomi Landscaping) won their first game of the season in a hard fought battle with the Orioles (The Money Doctor).  The Royals offense was led by Shane Hartey, Damien Bowman-Clark, and Chris Barton combining for 6 hits & 5 runs.  Damien, Chris, and Bryan Vance shared the pitching duties and managed to contain the Orioles bats from registering many big innings.  The Orioles were led by the efficient pitching of Kayla Feret & Matt Britton on the hill and the timely hitting of Nick Liberatore & Chaz Rosati at the plate.  Great game played by both teams on the field and very entertaining for those in the stands!

April 9th

Pirates 5 and A's 5

Defense was the name of this game as the Pirates and A's tied. The A,s were up in the bottom of the third 5-3 but the Pirates didnt Quit and tied when Dean Blizzard Hit a triple then stole home then Anthonty DiMarco stole home to tie the game. Scoring runs for the Pirates was Dominic Virell (2), Raymond Vanore, Dean Blizzard and Anthomy Dimarco. Alec Thomas Tank Troiano had RBI"s for the Pirates. Frank Fisher and Dean Blizzard Pitched excellent. The A,s Pitching was strong with John Angelucci and Kyle Bachman. Great GAme by Both Teams.

April 10th

Royals 16 and Phillies 4

The Royals bats exploded in a big way and banged out 13 hits against the Phillies in a 4 inning game shortened by darkness.  Shane Hartey, Damien Bowman-Clark, and Bryan Vance led the Royals by going a combined 8 for 8, with 8 runs scored.  Chris Barton hurled two scoreless innings on 29 pitches for the winners.  Both teams played very hard and also witnessed firsthand why it is very important to wear a protective cup when playing the game of baseball.  We all the hope you're feeling better today, Umpire D_ _!

April 13th

Pirates 10 and Orioles 2

Pitching and defense was the name of the game again today for the Pirates as Alec thomas Struck out nine and Dominic Virelli struck out 2 to give the Pirates a The 10-2 Victory. The Pirates started the game out strong with 4 first inning runs and never looked backed.The Pirates bats also came alove today with there highest scoring output of the season.scoring runs for the Pirates were Dean{2},Bruce {2}, Alec {2},Frank Anthony and Raymond each scored one. RBIs For the Pirates were Shane {3}, Alec{2}, Frank {2},Raymond Kenny and Tank Each had one. The Orioles were short-handed and played hard the whole game. Orioles got great pitching from Kayla Feret, Chaz Rosati and Nicholas Libertore. Great game by both teams.

The Royals (Lipomi Landscaping) managed to hang on Friday night in a hard fought battle with the A's.  Shane Hartey & Damien Bowman-Clark continued to lead the Royal's offense, combining for 6 hits and 5 runs.  Defensively, Zach Wick & Jared Polanski made some key plays in the field to help slow down the A's.  The agressive A's rallied in the 4th & 5th innings behind the offense of Michael Root & Brian Phillips.  Great game by both teams as this one went down to the last out!

April 18th

Pirates 4 and Royals 14

On a Saturday afternoon in which the Royals scored 14 runs, the pitching performances of Chris Barton, Ryan Droge, and Zack Wick were the key to beating the short handed Pirates.  Shane Hartey & Jason Vance combined to score 6 runs for the winners.  The Pirate's Dominic Virelli & Frank Fisher each made gold-glove caliber plays on defense to shut down possible big innings.  Both teams played very hard and agressive for 6 innings on this perfect day for a baseball game!

A's 13 and Orioles 6

A hard fought game on a sun spanked day with timely hitting by the A's potent offence led by Albert C, Mikey R, Kyle B and Josh R. The Orioles staged a nice come back but fell short

April 21st

A's 7 and Pirates 4

A Tuesday pitching duel as the A's Mike Root and the Pirate's Alec Thomas went at it. If not for a late inning rally from the A's the boys would sill be going at it.

A's got timely hits from Albert Curran and Kyle Bachman to finish up the night.

April 23rd

Orioles 4 and A's 10

The A's offence came through hitting w/ all cylinders including hits by Cooper Root Mikey Root Kyle Bachman and Brian Phillips and great pitching from Albert Curran and Josh Rambo. The Orioles played great defence and good pitching from Kayla Matt and Chas. 

April 24th

 Pirates 8 and Phillies 7

The Pirates outlasted the Phillies in a back and forth Battle. The first inning got off fast for the pirates as Dominic Virelli drove in Anthony Demarco. Alec Thomas and Frank fisher drove in runs to take a 4-0 lead. The Phillies battled back with 4 of there own in the first. in the 2nd 3rd and 4th pitching was stellar for both teams. Dominic Virelli settle down and held the Phillies 2 runs. In The top of the 5th with the pirates trailed by 2 runs when raymond walked and was driven in again by Dominic Virelli. the Pirates lead by 2 in the bottom of the 6th when a stellar play by Anthony Demarco and Alec Thomas saved the tying run. Then Tank did the rest to shut the Phillies down. rbi's for the Pirates was Dominic [2] Alec [2] Shane [1].

April 27th

Royals 4 and A's 4

Monday night at the old ballyard started out as a classic pitcher's duel, with Chris Barton (Royals)& Kyle Bachman (A's) matching each other pitch for pitch.  The A's managed to load the bases in each of the first three innings, but the pitching of Chris & Bryan Vance helped the Royals escape the jams without any damage.  The Royals took the lead when they notched a "4-spot" in the bottom of the third on some timely hits by the top of the order.  The talented A's then fought back in the top of the 5th to tie the game on a clutch "two out, two RBI" laser to rightfield by Josh Rambo.  In the bottom of the 5th, the Royals' Jason Vance, Ryan Daneese & Nathan Price managed to get on base to set the table, with Ryan scoring the winning run in a hard fought 5 inning battle called because of darkness.  These two closely matched teams continue to have entertaining battles that always seem to come down to the last out.

April 28th

Pirates 10 and Orioles 0

THe Pirates got off to a hot start in this one. They Came out with there bats blazing getting timly hits by Kenny Hands and Bruce Wildermuth. In the bottom of the first Alec Thomas went to work shutting down a high powered Orioles offense.In the top of the second the Pirates bats came alive again getting 5 hits in the inning also in that inning Raymond Vanore and maddie evans each tallyed there first hits of the Season, Congradulations. Alec went to work finishing in the bottom of the second shutting the orioles down again with great pitching and good fielding. Great game by both teams the Orioles gave there all and never quit. Scoring runs for the Pirates was Tank[3] anthony[2] Maddie [2]Dominic, Frank and Alec.Rbis for the "Bucs" was Tank, Dominic, Alec, Kenny[2], Anthony  and Bruce.

April 29th

A's 9 and Phillies 7

We had a good old fashion Donnybrook at the park Wednesday night the A's and the Phillie's went back and forth a type of game that the last team batting would win. the A's held wood and they won it in the last inning. Timely hitting from both teams for the A's Kyle Bachman DJ Eakin and Brandon Ashmen, for the Phils Zack,Chris E. and Joe C. Great effort from both teams.

April 30th

Pirates 9 and A's 6

in a Friday night showdown the Pirates took on the A's. The Pirates got off fast in the top of the first getting 2 run when Kenny Hands smoked a line drive to right driving in Anthony and Dean. In the Bottom of the first Frank Fisher set down the A's 1-2-3.In the top of the second the Pirates went back to work with there bats,when Anthiny DeMarco drove in 3 runs icluding himself.The short-handed A's didnt give up and got timely hitting in the bottom of the second and scored 4 runs to cut the Pirates lead. The Pirates held off a late rally in the third and forth with great pitching and 8 k's from Frank Fisher. This was another great battle between the Pirates and A's. Great Job By Both Teams. Scoring runs for the Pirates were Tank(2),Anthony(2), Bruce(2),Matthew and Raymond. Rbi's were Anthony (3) Kenny(2)Tank, Bruce and Raymond.

   The Pirates bat came alive today gettting there highest run output of the year. Timely hitting and great fielding and team work were displayed by the Pirates. The Pirates got Stellar pitching Performances by Kenny Hands,Anthony D, And Bruce Wildemuth.  THe Phillies stayed positive and fought the whole game. THe Pirates Took first place and look to extend there hot hitting, pitching into the playoff. Congrats to all teams for a stellar year and good luck to all in the playoffs.
